Career and Academic Opportunities

The pairing should allow History/MAPW graduates to find employment in a variety of fields, including publishing, education, business, nonprofits, the arts and public service. History majors completing the program will bring expertise in historical thinking and content. With the more recent addition of classes in screenwriting, social media, and web content, MAPW graduates are advancing in the new demand fields as well.

Admission Requirements


Double Owl Admission Requirements 
  • KSU GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale.
  • Completed 60 hours toward the BA in History, with 30 hours at KSU.
Double Counted Courses Include
  • PRWR 6000 to count for Upper-Division Elective
  • Graduate Concentration Course to count for Upper-Division Elective
  • Graduate Concentration Course to count for Upper-Division Elective
