Submit an IT Project Request
UITS manages IT projects at KSU, collaborating with faculty andf staff to develop new technology solutions and implement major upgrades.
What is an IT Project Request?
An IT project request involves a technology update or change that requires complex planning, affects multiple departments, or goes beyond a standard service request.
How to Submit a Request
- Log in to the IT PM Service Portal using your KSUmail address and password.
- Select UITS Project Management and click Submit a Project Request.
- Complete the Create a New Project Request/Demand form and upload relevant files.
For step-by-step instructions, see our guide: How to Submit an IT Project Request.
Note: Any requests for new applications or business process automation requests must be submitted with documentation that outlines the current business objectives and identifies the business process owner. Please see the FAQs and Process overview page for more information.
What happens to my request after I submit it?
Your project request is reviewed by UITS staff and scored based on information provided by you about the project related to its alignment to Taking Flight (the KSU strategic plan), SOAR 2028 (the UITS strategic plan), resource needs, organizational change impacts, and KSU's overall risk profile. For more information about the scoring process and future project governance changes, check out the Process Overview.
